For a masculine get well greeting card, I paired a few patterns with Night of Navy Cardstock.  I’m loving this retired designer series paper called “Well Worn.”  I cut out a few polygons and propped them up on Dimensionals to bring this texture to life.

I also added one of the Ribbon Slides to add an additional masculine accessory.

Masculine Birthday inspired by Mojo Monday

To kick it up a notch, I ventured to Mojo Monday for some inspiration.  I created this masculine birthday card using the latest sketch challenge #290.  I am loving this Clearance DSP called “Well Worn”.  It is rich with color and texture.  I paired it with stripes from the Neutrals Collection in Early Espresso.

I’m a big fan of adding a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to the inside of my greeting cards, as you can achieve infinite attempts at a perfect interior by adding an additional layer.  But with a white base card here, I was limited to one shot!  I simply stamped the interior salutation right onto the card.  Daring, i know! :)

NEW Wood-mount Cases!!!!

Introducing our new wood-mount stamp set packaging! These new cases are similar to our clear-mount boxes and fit perfectly on the shelf right next to them. They also have the images and stamp set name on the spine to make your search for the right set even easier.

Stampin’ Up! will be using cool new cases to package our wood-mount stamps beginning 5/31 with the launch of the 2013-2014 Annual Catalog.  Empty cases will be available for purchase as well and have a variety of storage uses (loved the supplies storage idea in the video).  The new cases integrate beautifully with our clear-mount cases.  All your stamps can be one big happy (and organized) family.  Watch the video for an “up close and personal” look at the new cases as well as a sneak peek of a new stamp set.

Saying Thanks with Floral District DSP

In my final project of this Floral District Series, I created this Thank You card using Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral.  Heat embossing with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Pad Ink and Emboss Powder Clear makes the perfect sheen for a salutation that POPS!

Here, I paired a two patterns with differing scales to add a true contrast.  I layered whisper white between to add a crisp line of definition.  I really makes the white details stand out.  I just love the interior stamp from the From the Heart Stamp Set.  What a special card!

 

 

COLOR REFRESH:  Lucky Limeade’s “In Color” run ends next month and unfortunately, this is one of the only retiring In Colors that was not offered a permanent home in the Stampin’ Up color palette.   For a list of all the Color Refresh Changes, click here.

For today’s floral district project, I created a birthday card with a few interesting details.  I used heat embossing for the salutation to add a vibrant shine.
